The Long Island yacht club stabbing case took a major turn Tuesday when Victor Panebianco admitted he fatally stabbed Christopher Millwater outside Stony Brook Yacht Club on Long Island. Prosecutors say the 32-year-old North Carolina man pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the parking lot killing that left a 52-year-old man dead and set up sentencing later this year.
According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Panebianco knifed Millwater twice, striking through his heart and lungs on Nov. 10, 2025, in a parking lot near the club. Authorities say the attack was carried out after Panebianco and his girlfriend, 33-year-old Kacy Corso, drove from their North Carolina apartment to Long Island to ambush Millwater, who was known to spend time at the yacht club. Prosecutors said Corso watched the assault and urged Panebianco on during the attack.
The encounter unfolded after the pair pulled into the same lot as Millwater, officials said. When Panebianco got out and approached him, Millwater tried to escape by driving away. Prosecutors say Corso then struck Millwater’s vehicle with her own car to stop him from leaving. As the fight escalated, Millwater reportedly looked at Panebianco and said, “You’re stabbing me?” before screaming as the knife went into his body.
Authorities said Panebianco then kicked the wounded Millwater in the head before getting back into the vehicle and leaving the scene with Corso. Suffolk County police later found the bloody scene after a 911 call reported an unconscious man on the ground in the parking lot around 3:40 a.m. Millwater, of Selden, died there.
