The incident happened on June 7 during a traffic stop on a motorway in Texas. Corporal Joshua Swisher was already working the stop when he was alerted to a nearby vehicle that was giving off smoke. He then directed the car into the emergency lane.
As the driver remained inside, flames erupted from underneath the vehicle. The newly released footage shows Swisher moving quickly to get the man out before the fire spread any further.
